Samoëns... ski resort in the Grand Massif... village in the Giffre Mountains
Village resort (720-2500m) in Haute-Savoie in the heart of the Alps...
Samoëns, a village of stone and wood, full of history. The village center is preserved and there you will find everything that has marked our history, the Church, the Gros Tilleul over 500 years old, the Botanical Garden which brings together rare and protected plants, created by Marie Louise Cognac Jaÿ (who also created the Samaritaine in Paris), the Ecuries du Chateau, where artists' exhibitions follow one another over the months.
Our 7 Chapels which surround our valley, and which remind us of the "old" villages of Samoëns
The Town Hall, an imposing stone building... the Grenette, the work of the Freemasons and today the scene of daily life in our village. The stone sculptures, carved during the last stone symposiums, are an unmissable meeting place for stonemasons.
